It’s been an entire month! At the top of the year, I committed to upping my posting to twice a week (from once). At first I thought it would be difficult. I panicked about what I would write about (I still do), how consistent I would be, and if anyone would even read. Here’s what I found.I challenged myself to increasing my posts to twice a week for a few reasons: 1) It was January and I wanted to set this month apart from the others because it’s my birth month; 2) I was ready to get my messages out to more people. One way to get more people to read my blog was to post things for them to read, duh; 3) I wanted to get into the habit because I hope to keep this up and ultimately upping my post to three (or even four) times a week.

Unlike my post on perseverance (Parts One and Two), this one is about keeping up what you’ve started once you’ve started it. I found this video by Arielle Amor¬†on YouTube where she discusses the importance of being CONSISTENT! I immediately related to the video and thought it would be perfect to share today.

Interestingly enough, less than an hour before finding her video (and subsequently subscribing to her channel because she is gorgeous and her content is amazing), I thought to myself, “I did well all month, maybe I’ll skip tomorrow’s post.” Can you believe this!? The last post of the month! After being on a, what, 4-5 week streak, I had the audacity to think to myself, “I’ll just quit here.”

I’m glad I came across this video and that it encouraged me to stop being lazy as well as inspire me and give me content to write about. I definitely have more on this topic for you all later, but for now, enjoy Avielle’s message. It couldn’t be more true:

    I also find ways to try to talk myself out of continuing a newly formed “habit’, mine is mostly with clean eating or exercising! I think you have done exceptionally well and I have been looking forward to your 2x a week posts, keep em coming!

      I am the same way, 100%. I “reward” myself for doing good by giving myself a break. Then, it’s over. Also, thanks for reading, I hope to keep up the multiple posts as well.
