This past weekend I visited Niagara Falls, Ontario with my family. I have tons of family in Montreal so I’m not new to Canada but I was new to Toronto. It’s funny how it worked out, really. I went home to visit my family in New York and had no plans of going to Toronto. After realizing that I would be here when they were leaving, I made an executive decision to take the trip with them. I had Boo send me my passport and I was all set. Phew.
I could blame it on the fact that I’ve been working out more or the fact that as I grow as a person and a woman. Either way, I’m winning.
Today’s post is brought to you via the YouTube! Today, I share with you 25 things that I’ve learned in 25 years. What are some of your tips, tricks, or pieces of advice?
This weekend, while Boo was out and I was home alone, I flipped through the channels (which I rarely do) to find something to watch. ‘Sex and the City’ the movie was on and I looked no further.
I’m definitely one of those people who like to buy or obtain new things but often never use them.
By nature, I’m not a very go-out-and-be-adventurous person but I wish I was. In my head, I’m tons of fun but that doesn’t really translate into real life. With that said, I’ve been trying to make the two mesh because YOLO, right?
“Wait.” “Hold on.” “Hurry up.” I’m sure I’m not the only one who has heard these and a few more throughout their lifetime. All suggesting that there was a time where we did not want to wait for something. But what if we’ve been onto something this entire time?
If you’ve been following for a while—or even a little bit—you’ll know that I’ve been working out since January. I’ve stuck to it since and have gotten a pretty good hang of it, I’d say. So much so that over the past few months, I’ve come up with a list of the things that are essential to me and my workouts and may help those of you who are exploring working out or need a refresher course.
This past weekend I was lucky enough to attend the 2016 International Natural Hair Meet Up ‘Curls and Cocktails’, hosted by the beautiful Bianca and Samantha of Natural Power of Her.
Not to toot my own horn but I never felt like I was “raised” the same as my peers. I don’t mean I didn’t have a childhood because I did. A pretty good one at that. But when it came to my pre-teen and teen years, there wasn’t much babying going on.
